I have figured out that I can save quite a bit of cash on the presents I buy for my family for the holiday season if I buy them in November instead of December. Most of us are used to rushing around in the month of December, and times have changed. Waiting to buy things then will cost us a lot of money. I have been keeping watch on all the top Cyber Monday deals that will be happening the day after Thanksgiving. Just about any big name store will be offering some pretty major discounts on that day. It is also a lot of fun to have a big meal and spend time with family and friends the day before, and then having something fun to look forward to the next day as well. For the past couple of years, I usually have a sibling and a friend who come along with me to all the stores while I do my shopping.
This year, I will be looking for a variety of things. With four children with two years of age between each of them, I really need to stock up on things that each of them can use. While I do hand down different toys to each one as they grow older, the problem is that they each have such different personalities, and two of them are boys and two of them are girls. This keeps me on my toes when it comes to choosing different toys that will keep each of them happy.
I also need shoes for each of the kids. They each need casual shoes to play in at home, really nice shoes for going out to restaurants or church, a couple of pairs of shoes for each of them for school, and then some winter shoes, too. It makes sense to buy them all at one time.
